The Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show (KLIMS) 2024 officially opened today at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC), marking its 10th edition as Malaysia’s premier automotive exhibition. Organised by the Malaysian Automotive Association (MAA) and managed by Qube Integrated Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. (Qube), KLIMS 2024 is set to showcase cutting-edge innovations in sustainability, electrification, and autonomous mobility under the theme “Beyond Mobility.”
The event was officiated by YAB Dato’ Sri Haji Fadillah Bin Haji Yusof, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy Transition and Water Transformation, who emphasised the vital role of KLIMS in driving Malaysia’s green and innovative future. Adding to the event’s significance, YB Anthony Loke, Minister of Transport (MOT), also graced the occasion.
KLIMS 2024 serves as a platform for showcasing the future of mobility, providing insight into transformative trends such as electric vehicles (EVs) and eco-friendly mobility solutions. The event features cutting-edge technologies, including EVs, hydrogen-powered vehicles, and autonomous driving, while also highlighting 2-wheelers and other mobility solution companies to address last-mile solutions and amplify the mobility message. Aligned with Malaysia’s energy transition goals, KLIMS 2024 promotes EV adoption and green technology advancements while emphasising the automotive industry’s critical role in driving economic growth. By fostering collaboration between local manufacturers, SMEs, and global players, the event reinforces Malaysia’s position as a regional hub for automotive innovation.
Speaking at the ceremony, YAB Dato’ Sri Haji Fadillah Bin Haji Yusof highlighted Malaysia’s commitment to sustainable transportation and energy transition, "As we look to the future, I am confident that Malaysia has the potential to become a regional hub for electric vehicle production and innovation. With initiatives like the National Energy Transition Roadmap (NETR), the development of 3,171 EV charging stations nationwide, and full exemptions on import, excise, and sales duties for EVs, we are paving the way for a greener, more sustainable future. Events like KLIMS are crucial in accelerating this vision, bringing together stakeholders from around the world to collaborate and create solutions that benefit everyone. Let us remember that the responsibility for creating a sustainable future lies with all of us, and together, we can move Malaysia—beyond mobility."Mohd Shamsor Bin Mohd Zain, President of the Malaysian Automotive Association (MAA) and Chairman of the KLIMS 2024 Organising Committee, also spoke about the event's significance, "KLIMS 2024 represents more than just an automotive exhibition—it is a testament to the automotive industry's resilience, adaptability, and forward-thinking. This year’s theme, ‘Beyond Mobility,’ reflects our commitment to advancing Malaysia’s transition to sustainable transportation and strengthening our position as a regional automotive leader."

Over 800 attendees gathered for the grand opening ceremony of the Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show (KLIMS) 2024, marking the start of an exceptional display of automotive innovation. The event featured exclusive product previews from GWM with the luxury-focused WEY 80 and rugged Tank 500, and Perodua's futuristic concept car, the EMO-II. Nissan introduced its new B-SUV, while Toyota unveiled the Camry Hybrid and Corolla Cross Hybrid. Mazda brought the versatile C60 and CX80, and KIA launched the stylish Sportage. MG Motor debuted the sleek Cyberster, while GAC Aion previewed its premium GAC M8 and electric ES models. Honda captivated the audience with the iconic Prelude, while Proton showcased the S70 R3 team car, fresh off its performance in the Sepang 1000KM race. Renowned brands such as Mitsubishi, Royal Enfield, and Xpeng also unveiled their latest innovations, ensuring KLIMS 2024 was an unmissable experience for mobility enthusiasts.
Visitors to KLIMS 2024 are in for an unforgettable experience, with exclusive car debuts and groundbreaking concept vehicles. Adding to the excitement, automotive clubs from across Malaysia will be present, along with thrilling activities like race simulators and more.
